Oamaru Movie World 3 is proud to offer the latest Hollywood blockbuster movie titles and sporting events (we are a licensed Sky Television venue) on the biggest screen in town. Our three theatre cinema complex offers the best in modern digital theatre going experience.
The venue
Situated in the main street of Oamaru, New Zealand, Oamaru Movie World 3 is a multiplex cinema offering four theatres (three 35mm/e-cinema and one dedicated e-cinema). The advantage of being a multiplex is that we can simultaneously offer something for everyone's tastes - choose from a comedy, drama or special effects rich action feature. There is something for everyone.
Our facility (constructed in 2003) is modern in both styling and comforts. Our theatres offer a warm and comfortable environment to enjoy your movie in. Our seating is comfortable and allows for plenty of leg room - our large theatre (The Grand) also offers a number of couches which are a real favourite with our guests.
The building foyer includes the shop, bar and seating area in which guests enjoy a coffee or drink both before and after their movie.
Food & beverages
Our foyer store offers a broad selection of traditional theatre food (ice creams, pop-corn, Jafas etc) plus hot food including toasted sandwiches and savories.
We also offer freshly brewed tea a broad selection of coffees not to mention delicious hot chocolates, all of which can be consumed during your movie.
Oamaru Movie World 3 is a licensed premises including our theatres allowing our guests to enjoy a wine, beer or ready mixed drink either before, during or after their movie. Group outings are a pleasure to accommodate.
